Clark places fifth overall in Green Valley Speech and Debate Tournament

Your Clark Speech and Debate team competed in the Green Valley tournament with notable placements. The team competed on Friday, October 20th for speech and on Saturday, October 21st for debate.
In novice foreign extemporaneous, Ryan Yi placed second and Daniel Lok placed fourth. In varsity foreign extemporaneous, Zachary Walusek placed fifth.
In domestic extemporaneous, novice Sophia Adams placed second. Varsity Trevor Pearl also placed second.
In novice dramatic interpretation, Saanvi Desai placed fourth and Anapaula Cano placed sixth. In varsity, Manushri Desai placed fifth.
In humorous interpretation, varsity Veronica Robledo placed sixth.
In Congress, novice Sahi Chundu placed first. Junior Varsity Dilan Perera placed third.
In public forum, the novice team of Aisha Sanwal and Erin Keene placed as non-advancing semifinalists. The junior varsity team of Rishi Saran and Evan Crosby placed at an extraordinary first place with their teamwork. The varsity team of Manushri Desai and Shivam Saran placed third.
In Lincoln Douglas, novice Denise Ly placed as a non-advancing semifinalist. As novices, Daniel Lok placed first in the B division, and Jaiden Reddy and Isha Shah tied for first in the A division. Junior varsity Katie Wang also won an outstanding 1st place.
Overall, the speech and debate team placed fifth in the large school sweepstakes. Way to go Chargers!
