One of Clark’s most successful competitive teams has continued their undefeated season with two playoff wins and a championship triumph against Coronado. Varsity Quiz, a competition that allows students from public, private, and charter schools to compete, is one of the most competitive clubs in Vegas. It is a combination of academic topics, jeopardy, scholarships, and even cash rewards.

This year, Clark’s Varsity Quiz team has won their thirteenth state championship in the last fifty years. Clark’s current team is one of the best in our history, and have won five of the last six titles.

Clark also competes in the Las Vegas Quiz Bowl Association’s league on Saturdays. They have excelled in this competition as well, winning the state championship and traveling to nationals for the last three years!

Just like most other competitive teams, Varsity Quiz players have established a strong bond through their participation in the club. This is extremely important to the club advisor, Mr. Bean.

Because many of the top Varsity Quiz members are upperclassmen, Varsity Quiz is actively recruiting new members. If you are interested in joining and helping push this impressive club to another championship, Varsity Quiz meets every Tuesday in Room 126.
