Clark NJROTC’s Academic Team Takes First in Fullerton

Evan Crosby

This past weekend, Clark’s NJROTC team traveled to Troy High School in Fullerton California to compete in a highly competitive academic tournament, ultimately taking home first place. Below is the press release.

“Clark High School’s Superior NJROTC Academic Team sweeps Californian schools by taking another victory.

Clark came home with first place, cutting close from Martin Luther King High School in second place– only by one question. This Southern California invitational academic competition took place in Fullerton, California in Troy High School. Ten schools, the only one from Vegas being Clark, clashed heads and brains for the prize. With a winning and steadfast streak, Clark won every round. Not only did Clark come home victorious, but they also defeated our academic teams rival, Troy. Cadet Ryan Russell, the team captain, led Cadet Ryan Jin, Cadet Charles Birt, and Cadet Chalinee Karawek.

Good job to the academic team and the Cadets who participated.”

Congratulations to the team on representing Clark at a highly competitive invitational, and good luck in their future tournaments!
