A walk with the cops across the block!
Today, people around the community joined the first responders on National Night Out. National Night Out is a community-police event meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Clark County School District Police Department and City of Las Vegas Ward 1 hosted the walk. Our Cadets along with Bonanza student council and parents across the community walked from Rotary Park to Meadows Mall. After arriving at Meadows Mall, they held raffles, exhibited fire trucks, helicopters and free food were served to participants. There were many contests as well and one of them was the push up contest. Dozens of our Cadets participated against the police officers. One of them, Cadet Yuen was able to beat them by doing a hundred push ups! Everybody got something today, there was a lot of laughs and fun for sure! Thank you
to the first responders and good job to everyone who participated!
